About Competing

This competition is a great way to develop practical skills on how to perform an initial client intake. In addition to practicing these skills, you can get feedback from experienced practicing attorneys who judge the competition, and you can win MONEY, AWARDS, and an invitation to an exclusive networking event at Davis Miles McGuire Gardner, PLLC!

Preliminary rounds will be held on Tuesday, September 5th & Wednesday, September 6th, and the final round will be held on Thursday, September 7th.

IF YOU SIGN UP, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO SHOW UP! If you don’t show or if you cancel without adequate notice, unless there’s an emergency, you will be banned from competing for 1 year.

Competition Max Limits: (First-Come, First-Served) The sign up will close when we have hit the max. This is strictly first-come, first-served. No preference will be given to any year. Max of 130 competitors.

If you compete, you cannot volunteer as well. You must choose to either volunteer OR compete.

About Volunteering

Volunteering to be a timer or client for this competition is a great way to observe others compete and hear the feedback they provide to competitors. You can see what competing in a Moot Court Competition is like with no risk!

Preliminary rounds will be held on Tuesday, September 5th and Wednesday, September 6th, and the final round will be held on Thursday, September 7th. If you sign up, you are committing to the entire evening: 5:15pm-9pm. We will provide you with dinner and you will get a short break in the middle.

• 14 Timers (7 people on Tuesday, 6 on Wednesday, and 1 on Thursday)
